About CTM (Commodity Technology Management) Team: The CTM team is part of Agilent Global SSM (Strategic Supplier Management) team. The commodity technology management team is set up as the gateway between Agilent and the supply base to drive value creation. This team is to analyze Agilent worldwide technologies (current and next generation) sourcing needs, then figure out the supply solutions through preferred suppliers' capabilities development or new technologies sourcing in the supply markets, as well to proactively recommend new technologies where appropriate to Agilent teams to improve company supply chain competitiveness. This position is to lead Global Commodity Technology Management for Motion and Flow Commodities, and the Major Responsibilities are: a)Commodity technology roadmap development: analyze Agilent WW technologies needs by commodity in short term and long term, and map to Agilent suppliers' offering capabilities to highlight gaps and supply base development needs, then plan next step initiatives to close the gaps. In parallel, proactively bring new technologies into Agilent to optimize Agilent supply chain for value creation; b)Supplier capabilities development & New technologies sourcing through supply market research: based on supply base gaps analysis, work together with preferred suppliers for capabilities development planning to close the gaps, or drive supply market research to sourcing new suppliers/technologies to meet Agilent technology sourcing needs in short term and long term. c)Raw materials sourcing in low cost region for cost reductions: provide end-to-end sourcing services to Agilent production facilities in North America, Europe and AP (covering RFQ, business award proposal, samples making, first articles evaluation, team work with suppliers to develop and review process control plans for each part/assembly, pilot production run support for mass production stabilization, urgent AOS and quality issues support where appropriate); d)NPI sourcing support：leverage suppliers' technical resources to optimize Agilent new product design (new technologies recommendation, DFx support, etc); e)Preferred suppliers' performance improvement support: from the perspective of TQE (technology, quality and environment); f)Others: Support internal partners for procurement strategies development and implementation, and procurement processes implementations, etc. The above is the general description for the Sourcing Manager responsibilities, but not limited to the above. Must: Bachelor Degree or above (bachelor in Engineering) plus a minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement/commodity management, global sourcing, contract or supply chain management, manufacturing or supplier quality engineering; Strong technical background with a good understanding of material technical requirements (drawings and specifications, quick learner for new products/technologies and related manufacturing and quality control processes plus applications); Quantitative analysis skills including statistics, total cost scenarios development with flowcharts and simulations; Good at software tools (MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word). Good English communication skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading); Leadership skills to manage and drive cross-region projects; Self-driven, results oriented, cooperation and teamwork skills; Preferred: Multi-national company working experience; Global sourcing experience; Experience in Motion and/or Flow commodities; Sensitive to supply market trend with insights; Six sigma experience; SAP and Oracle knowledge and experience; Agilent Values: Innovation and contribution; Trust, Respect and Team Work; Uncompromising integrity; Speed to opportunity; Focus on critical things; Accountability; Passion for customer satisfaction (both internal and external); Take informed risks;
